5 Months!

Our big guy is 5 months old today. I thought I would update everyone on his achievements, because it has been a long time since some of our loved ones have seen him.

• He is sitting really well, but still tips over eventually (usually because there is something that he can't pick up that he wants in his mouth, so he just puts his face down on it).
• Yesterday he rolled over while we were playing on the bed. He was dying to get to Rocco.


• He has recently discovered his feet, and how to put them in his mouth, of course.

• He is getting really good with his hand eye coordination. He puts his own binky in his mouth now, and anything else he can get a hold of. He wants whatever I have in my hands, and watches me intently while I eat (what's a guy gotta do to get a cheeseburger around here?)
• He still wakes up in the night, after sleeping for about 5 hours, but usually goes back down pretty easy with some help from mom. However when 5 o'clock rolls around he is bright eyed and bushy tailed. I tell Will that since he got this morning person trait from him, he should be the one up with him that early (unfortunately half the time Will is already up and getting ready for work at that time) .
• He is still growing bigger all the time, he wears 9-12 month clothes, and they're not the least bit big on him.


• He has some hair coming in but it is really light so it's hard to see in pictures.
• He laughs when you tickle him, and loves to hear himself scream and talk in different tones.
• He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and smiles so big when he sees Mickey come on the screen. It's very brightly colored, and there's lots of singing and fun sounds.

• He still doesn't love tummy time, unless it's on mommy, but he is getting really good at pushing himself up on his arms.
• His eyes are as blue as ever, even though Will sometimes thinks they're starting to change.

Watching him grow and change is exciting, sad and scary all at the same time. While I love when he discovers something new, I just want him to be a baby forever!
