Where the Turf Meets the Surf

Will and I went down to San Diego yesterday to watch the horse races at Del Mar. It was like a million degrees, so I only lasted 4 races, but it was nice getting out of the house and seeing the track. It's a really beautiful place, right next to the beach. I would have taken more pictures but our camera died.

Then we drove out of our way about 15 minutes to get Schlotsky's, YUM! It's my favorite, and there is not one anywhere close to us.

Once we got home we had a culdesac bbq to go to. A couple times a year we get together at the end of the culdesac and have a potluck bbq. It's really nice having such warm and loving neighbors around us (even if a couple are a little nosey). I know I could count on any of them for anything that we needed.

Aww FUN! I'm sure if Wade was in town we would have gone with you two ;) That sounds like so much fun with your neighbors! you guys and tena all have the best neighbors. We don't get that luxury. Instead we're stuck with really strange neighbors.
