While in Idaho for Christmas we snuck away for a day trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming while Grandma Kris spent some quality time with all four of her darling grandchildren.

These are the Tetons, from the backside.
The highlight of our day was the Elk Reserve! We were taken out onto the reserve on a sleigh, pulled by Pete and Repeat, two beautiful Belgian Work Horses. As we toured around the elk, we learned all sorts of interesting things from our guide. So crazy, but between 4,000 and 10,000 elk winter on this refuge depending on the herd size each year.

Afterwards we stopped by the cowboy bar for a drink to warm up. We weren't completely frozen though, it was about 16 degrees and sunny while we were out on the sleigh. ;)
