Liam's Birthday Marathon!

We may have gone a little overboard this year this Liam's birthday celebration, but hey it's not everyday that your little guy turns two! To start the festivities Will and I took Liam to Disneyland's "Surf's Up Breakfast with Mickey and Friends". Super fun and special, all except the part where Liam didn't want the characters within 5 feet of him. Then we hit up a Live Disney Junior puppet show in California Adventure. All of Liam's favorite characters are in it: M. Mouse and friends, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. After we moved and grooved at the show we caught a Phineas and Ferb parade and called it a day while it was still the "Happiest Place on Earth" for Liam's "more pregnant by the day" momma.

Family Birthday Celebration

Once we got home it was time to get ready for our family birthday celebration. We did okay, 4 of Liam's 7 grandparents were in attendance, and the Dixon's who we consider to be our family came too. The rest of Liam's grandparents will be celebrating with him when they come to meet his little brother in a couple months.
Liam was happy to have Grandma come outside to play with him!
Grandma Ruth gave Liam a wonderful train set. It only took the boys 4 hours to assemble!

Mimi helped Liam to open all his wonderful gifts, and tried to show him the importance of reading the card :)

The Dixons hooked Liam up with this sweet tee-ball set. Liam is a natural, look at that stance, it's better than his mom's ever was!

Liam loves his new "choo choo" set, lap top and cell phone. It is a good thing we stole his dad's office and made a toy room!

Liam was pretty sure that he had the lighting of the candle covered.

He liked blowing out the candle so much that we did it several times :)

He also thought he could cut the cake himself.

We had such a special night celebrating with everyone who came. Thanks for making Liam feel so special and loved on his big day!

Our Birthday Friend

Liam was born on the 9th and his best bud Aubrey was born on the 10th. So, on Saturday we went over to her house for another party! I love this picture, Liam took it himself, completely unassisted, as you can tell by the finger over the lens.

Liam tried to get his hands on that Minnie Mouse camera all night, but Aubrey played it perfectly and avoided him at every turn. Isn't she the cutest! These two have the most fun together. This is their favorite game. The push back on this little couch until it tips over and they do backwards somersaults out the back.

Kiddie Party

Today was Liam's kiddie party at the play center. He loves this place so much! It has toys, cars. small trampolines, ball pits, slides, and much more all geared for little guys just like him! Aubrey got the jump on him and won the first heat.

The kids had lots of fun throwing the balls out of the pit, mostly because Will was trying to keep them all in.

The staff brings out the great Gymboree bubbles that float forever and even land without popping.

CeCe really wanted to give Liam a birthday hug, but Liam was having none of it!

Just like at Disneyland, Liam wanted nothing to do with an over sized dog. He prefers his small, black and white. This is as close as we got to a group picture. Liam and Grayson were not happy!

Liam and his third round of birthday cake for the weekend. He blew the entire time we sang to him, and finally got it out right at the right time. Then he wondered if we could do it again...

The grand finale is that the kids get to jump on bubble wrap while they turn on the bubble machine. There must have been a million bubbles. So much fun! Thanks to everyone who came and shared Liam's birthday with him. We had the best time!!! We are so blessed to have such good friends and family!
