A Very Merry Christmas 2011

We had a wonderful Christmas this year filled with lots of love and laughter... and way too many presents! Sure Liam's a good kid, but Santa's going to have to get a handle on things before the kid begins to think that he's a Prince of England.Mom and Dad enjoying Christmas morning, while Liam played with all his toys.Grandma Ruth helped Santa pick out this kitchen and BBQ for Liam. He is completely absorbed by it. Liam is getting very good at playing pretend. He serves coffee, and brings burgers from the grill. Complete with sound effects like sipping and chewing. His only frustration with the kitchen is that the plumbing doesn't seem to work, because he can't get any water out of the faucet no matter how hard he pulls!Aunt Nicki and her family sent Liam this very neat toaster, complete with bread, butter and a knife. it is the perfect addition to the kitchen!Hey! Get out of my kitchen, or "No soup for you!"This butter obviously needed to be put in the microwave for a few seconds. Pretty hard to slice :)Liam loves trains, or as he knows them choo choos. So naturally this Thomas flashlight was a big hit. Now if I could just get him to quit locking himself in dark places to test it out!Daddy helped Santa pick out this new trike for Liam. I'm not sure who likes it more. Liam got his Grandma Ruth a music box that plays her favorite tune, Clare de Lune.

Liam got two tool benches for Christmas. This one is from Grandpa Dave and Grandma Shiny. Complete with a battery powered saw and drill. Liam is pretty accurate with the hammer, when pounding nails and chasing Lucy and Rocco...
Cousin Kris gave Liam his first gun. He instinctively knew what to do with it, even though, as far as I know he has never even seen a show where a gun was used... You think there is something some one's not telling me? Uncle Cheyne got Liam a Star Wars t-shirt so that they could match.
Cheyne, Shannon and Will digging into their loot, which there was plenty of!
The bag says, "Smile if you've been naughty" and we could not get Liam to crack a smile. Also, yes he's wearing an oven mitt. It is a must have for every serious chef. Liam and Grandpa built some enormous towers with Liam's new blocks!

Will and I proudly displaying our Christmas Ham. We had all the fixins': ham, 4-cheese scalloped potatoes (courtesy of Michele), green bean casserole, caesar salad, and Will's brazed red cabbage, and my personal favorite, rolls :) We can never get by without a crazy hat picture when Bill and Michele are around!

The Three Williams

C'mon Grandpa, take the picture so that we can dig in already!

Christmas night was so nice that Will decided to start a fire so that everyone could sit outside. Liam and Rocco are best buds til the end :)

Christmas Dinner in Newport Beach

All dressed up for Christmas dinner, and in Liam's case a fun evening with cousin Kim.
The whole Viana crew. The Joulains, Bill, Shannon, Cheyne, Michele, Will, Liam. Me, and Ruth. One big happy family, who knows what is important in this crazy world.

Liam, and his roll... posing with Mimi, Grandpa Poppi and Grandma Ruth.

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!"
