This year for Thanksgiving our little family made a pilgrimage of our own to the land of the Malgradi's.
Our day was complete with a semi historically accurate play, written, produced and directed by our nephew Jacob. We were part of the pilgrim cast with Renee, Therese, and big Jake. The Native Americans were played by little Jake, Stella, Uncle Ray, and Grandma Ruth. Liam was supposed to play the part of the wild piggy, but when we found out that Jake planned on ambushing the pig from a tree in the opening scene the role was reassigned to Rocco.
Will and Liam enjoyed playing on all of Jake and Stella's toys.
Liam loved his cousins big back yard. He is asking for his own from Santa.
I love this picture of Liam with his Grandma and Stella!
One of my fondest memories of childhood is the Thanksgivings that we spent with my mom's family. It didn't matter who hosted dinner the set up was the same. Women in the kitchen, men watching football, and kids in the basement. Not to be seen or heard from, until we took our places at the kid table for dinner. Which was exactly the way we wanted it, time with our best friends, no adults around to mess it up!
Well, there aren't any basements in California, and we are way to concerned about bumps and bruises to leave the kids to fend for themselves, but this was our version of kids in the basement. Jake's room, with a brand new 42 inch flat screen TV, a few mini recliners and some frozen peas for a snack.
Liam and Daddy getting ready for the big wheel barrow race, with the help of Jake. Liam does weigh quite a bit!
