Howdy Halloween
I must admit I thought the days of Halloween being fun ended the day we left Moscow, but Liam has shown me that Halloween can be just as fun when it's spent with your child. Liam loved picking out a pumpkin just his size at the Pumpkin Patch.
After Mommy got the top off, Liam dug right in and helped Daddy pick out the seeds.
I would be lying if I didn't say that Liam was not a little stinker about putting on his costume. So, it was hard to get a decent picture of the very authentic cowboy get up that his Grandma Ruth made him. The costume was complete with a real cowboy hat and boots from Grandpa Dave and Grandma Shiny. He did really well once we started walking, but I didn't want to risk t by stopping and taking a picture. Every door that we knocked on (less than 10) let Liam pick his own candy. He would carefully pick one, put it in his bucket and then proceed to take a few more, one at a time. He really liked ringing the door bell, while he waited he knocked and if they weren't prompt enough he would try to let him self in. Imagine the people's surprise to hear their door handle turning!
Mommy and Daddy were cowboys too.

Every year we sit out front with our neighbor Chris by a fire and pass out candy. This year Will learned his lesson about letting the kids grab their own. The first group emptied the bucket and he had to refill in the first 20 minutes. Hehe, what a sucker. You know he would have done that as a kid too, that's what makes it so funny.
This picture depicts the reason why our pictures are less than par. It was a miracle we got what we did.
This is after trick-or-treating, aka bedtime. Liam was in the process of taking off his boots after a long days ride. Bein' a cowboy is hard work!
I get to take all the credit for the pumpkins this year. Will picked out the picture for the big one, but I sat and carved while he watched football. Guess that means I win the carving contest yet again!
