We recently hit the grandparent jackpot! We got to spend time with 75% of them all in a 3-day time span!
My dad and Janis flew in and stayed with us first. I took them to our favorite breakfast spot in OC, Sarducci's. We had lunch with Bill and Michele and their good friends Don and Margaret on the San Clemente Pier, but between Liam spilling an entire glass of Cabernet on both of his grandpa's and the fierce betting and subsequent IPhone checking on facts... we didn't manage to get any pictures taken with them.
On Saturday, we took a trip to Santa Anita Race Track. Liam liked seeing all the horsies, and shouting, "Go,go,go!" when they ran by. I can't wait until he can start picking some winners, we could use some help.

On Saturday night Will's mom and Dave came into town. So we got to get them together for a dinner here at our house. The next day my dad and Janis had to fly out, but we went with Ruth and Dave to a great Pumpkin Patch down in wine country.

Seen here, Liam's version of checkers as we wait to be seated at the restaurant. In his version the winner is determined by who can fling the pieces of the board the fastest. He won every game.
We had a wonderful weekend, wish we had more like it. There is nothing more important in this world than family, it's never more obvious than when you see your child with your parent. Come back soon!
