Crafty...

Crafty would definitely not be one of the words that I would use to describe myself. The craftiest moment in my life was probably when I was a little kid, I built a flying machine to help teach a gosling how to fly. It was more of a teeter totter/catapult than anything else, and since I didn't understand that a bird needs feathers to fly, let alone the theory of aerodynamics let's just say it didn't turn out well for the baby goose. That's probably a story I should have kept to myself...Stop judging me!

None the less. I am going to be a mommie now and it's time I got back on the horse. Let's hope things turn out better with this baby! This is my project, doing the wood block lettering with the addition of cutouts from the border we used to decorate the room. The picture is not of my work, I am still in stage one, cutting out the border (going well so far). So you see, I could just buy the letters (totally what regular Mandi would do), but Mommie Mandi is going to try out this frugal thing and make them herself. Ours will say William, not just Liam.

That will be really cute! And don't worry, I've never considered myself a crafty person either, but I have been able to come up with a few ways to do things on my own - it's easier than you think!
