Baby Shower #4

Two weeks have gone by, and I'm finally ready to post some pictures from Baby Shower #4.  If you've been following you know that both Will and my work threw us showers, and a few weeks ago Will's mom had one here for us. This latest shower was thrown by Will's stepmom Michele, and my girlfriends Kim and Heather helped out in a big way by planning and funding all the games, and helping with to get everything set up.  We had a full house, I was actually surprised that everyone fit.  Lots of people had to drive over an hour to come, but they still made it out.  We are so lucky to have so many people who care about us, I was definitely reminded of that.

The picture makes it hard to see, but these are pink body form dresses with It's a Boy balloons inside the big white ones. Get it, it's like a mommy, not that I have ever been so glamorous!

The first picture is of Kim and I, and the second is with my friends Renee and Amanda from work.  Amanda is due 10 days before me.  It had been so nice having someone to be pregnant with!

We were spoiled beyond belief.  We decided to do three rounds of present opening so that nobody fell asleep!  The second picture is of my neighbor girls Kayleigh and Kirsten playing the "How big is mommy's belly game during one of the gift opening intermissions.  They got the directions mixed up and thought they were guessing how tall I was.  Or maybe that's just what they told me so I wouldn't have hurt feelings.

This is our friend's mom Tena.  She won the game, she also won the change game too, but was gracious enough to defer he prize to the runner up.  In the second picture is Shannon, Tena and Toni.  Tena and Toni gave us the car seat and jogging stroller that we registered for. Wow, were we shocked, we can't thank them enough!

Counterclockwise around the table are Nene, Gigi, Michele, Kim, and Kris.  In the other picture I am modeling for the diaper bag memory game.

 

1st pic: From left to right.  Kim, Me(duh), Heather, Kim, Michele, Shannon, and Megan.  In the other picture is me with the boys who snuck into the shower.  The hung out in exile on the side of the house, and only ventured in to get a plate of food. 

If the amount of stuff a baby has measures how ready his parents are to take care of him, we're set. I know that the truth is the complete opposite of that, but I do know that we have been reminded of the support system that we have here in California. We really couldn't ask for more. Okay, so maybe I would ask to have "my" fam here as well. But everyone sure does make it a lot easier to be away from them.
