Feels Like 10

Four years ago I married my best friend, my soul mate, and Liam's daddy. As Will put it last night, "It feels like 10..." Haha! But it really does feel like forever, and by that I mean that I can barely remember what life was like before Will. It sounds cheesy but I do feel like my life started the day I met him. This is Will and I in 2004. I remember the day we took this so clearly. I made Will and his roommate drive around the Palouse looking for a beautiful place to take an Autumn picture. In the end we took it in his front yard because I couldn't get them to pull over and take a nice one. This is still one of my favorite pictures, we look so young!

We were able to go out to a nice dinner at my favorite restaurant. We always get Creme Brulee for dessert there, but before we could order it the waitress brought is a piece of chocolate cake, and said "Happy Anniversary". This made us assume that it was on the house, so we enjoyed the cake, just a little sad about the creme brulee. However, when the bill came the cake was on our bill! We didn't even want it, but we got charged for it anyways. We had a pretty good laugh about that one, I wish I would have tried that when I was a waitress! Will had flowers delivered to our table before hand. Isn't that sweet!

We were able to go without the baby because Grandma Ruth came from San Jose to babysit. I am proud to say that we didn't even call once to check on him, but I don't think it really counts, because how could we possibly worry, knowing that he was in such good hands! Thanks Grandma! Not many people are so lucky as to get anniversary presents from people other than their spouse, but we are! Every year Will's mom gives us something to go along with the traditional gifts for how many years a couple has been married. Four years is fruit and wood, so she gave us a super cute cheese board that says "May Your Glass Always Be Half Full", and she put together a yummy fruit basket for us. We also got enormous chocolate covered strawberries from Will's sister Renee, and a very generous (if you know what I mean) card from Will's dad and Michele. Will did way too much again this year and bought me a Juicy Couture hand bag. It was driving him crazy that I was carrying a purse and a diaper bag, so he decided I just needed one big bag. Thanks Super Hubby! I gave Will a chest protector to wear when dirt biking, because he needed one. What a rip off huh! And, Liam grew a few inches while we were out. I think he is officially too big for the Snuggle Nest! I left a 6 month jammie out for Ruth to use, and it's almost too small! Yikes!

Wow girl! Happy Anniversary to you and Will!! I love you both dearly. I would say that you are spoiled rotten, but I think the correct term is actually extremely blessed. So happy you got a night out!
